Meet Myles Johnson

Myles was raised in a single-parent household, but had a very active father. He watched as his mom and dad, sacrifice to make sure he’d be the first in his family to graduate from college; in order for him to realize his dreams . Today, Myles knows it’s time to pay it forward by giving back to his community ━ he wants to make sure Southside families can realize their dreams, too.

Accomplishments as a commissioner

  • Spearheaded $250,000 towards removing medical debt for Ingham County residents

  • Served on the Strategic Planning Committee, which developed a 5 year plan for Ingham County

  • Advocated for the Southside Community Coalition to receive funding to expand their Senior Services

We Stand with OUr Women!

This was a rally for Women’s Rights in light of the Roe v. Wade Decision that the Supreme Court handed down. A few ladies from the Detroit area organized this march and it was only right to have local representation to support these strong women in their efforts.

Feeding FAMILIES

Myles participated in a local food drive that he has been apart of since 2019 at the local church, Tabernacle of David. We fed hundreds of families and had a great time doing it.

BGSU Graduate

Myles graduated from Bowling Green State University in Fall 21’ with a major in Advertising and minor of General Business. He also became a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc.
